You Are Exactly Where You Should Be

Today’s Mindfulness Minute feature is: You are Exactly Where You Should Be.

With the holidays upon us, sometimes it can be easy to want to skip ahead to the New Year or be tempted to abandon who you are for a “new you” in 2020. But I’m here to tell you to stop! Pause! Reflect! Think of all the hard work you have done to make it this far. The same person who has carried you to December 31, 2019 is also capable of kicking ass in 2020.

Look back on all the challenges you overcame this past year, and be proud! That is no small feat. You my friend are so much stronger than you give yourself credit for. Give thanks and appreciation to who you are today even if there are things you want to improve upon for tomorrow.

And if you do feel like you are treading water and not where you think you “should” be, take a moment to think of all the small lessons that you are currently learning that will help you on your path forwards. Are there more lessons to learn before you’re ready to be where you want to be at? We can get so frustrated with wanting what we don’t have but pausing to reflect on if we are ready to receive that level of success will help give us some clarity on some next steps we can take, instead of feeling like we’re not moving forward.

You are exactly where you should be, what are the lessons you are learning that will serve you moving forward?
