Do you wish you had more focus and had enough energy to finish your to do list?

Do you want to feel more productive and motivated, have more clarity, and not feel utterly depleted at the end of every week?

Actual image of me circa 2017, very depleted, very much scattered AF with a constant to do list running in my head.

Here’s the thing:

You’re doing all the things you’re “supposed” to be doing. You’re drinking water, moving your body, resting enough-ish, and maybe even listening to a podcast about the benefits of mindfulness.

But you’re still exhausted.
You wish you could just focus better and be more efficient but your mind keeps getting distracted.

You know you’re supposed to “take time for yourself” but any time you try to feel guilty about being lazy.

You simultaneously are doing “too much” and yet your mind tells you it’s “never enough”

Oh buddy, do I feel ya. . .

We live in a society that thrives on telling us we need to be doing more but we should also be making sure we’re taking care of ourselves and resting and being a great partner, friend, colleague, and parent. These expectations can sneakily make their way into our minds and take up way more mental and emotional space than we know.

If we continue to move through life to do list by to do list without slowing down it can often lead to burnout which is not what I want for you.

Hi, it’s me, Cayla the Energy Coach

It’s time to slow down to speed up.
Imagine:

Waking up and actually looking forward to the day!

Having energy to do things you enjoy like seeing friends, taking a dance class, or even reading a book!

Feeling excited about the work you get to do!

NOT being woken up in the middle of the night to check your email because you’re worried you forgot to send that follow-up email only to see that you did in fact send it.

Having time and space for your mind to <actually> rest and chill TF out.

Feeling fulfilled and content when you rest your head on your pillow at night knowing you're not wasting your life away waiting for the weekend, your next vacation, or retirement.

It is my hope that after working together you’ll feel more at ease as you shed the shoulds and embrace what lights you up so you can find more joy in your day to day.

  • "Cayla's positivity and energy inspired me to try coaching. Since beginning our coaching series, I have more energy to devote to what is most important to me: my family and creative pursuits! Having more time and energy also makes me more excited about areas of my life outside of work (work was consuming a lot of my time and energy) and I feel like I can prioritize self-care and small moments of joy."

    Kristin S., Teacher

  • "I was feeling incredibly burned out from a big end-of-year project that had me grinding my teeth in my sleep and generally feeling like I had no idea what I was enjoying about my work anymore. Additionally, I was looking at making some big changes in my personal life (starting a family) and felt like I was still totally failing at adulting. Cayla helped me figure out two amazing goals to work toward and the fact that these goals could be my guideposts was both unexpected and felt very on point at the same time."

María Teresa A., Senior Product Manager

  • “Before working with Cayla, I was in an incredibly busy season and while I wasn't burnt out, I could feel it on the horizon. Through Cayla's incredible guidance, I was able to find more space for rest, joy and play in a season where I felt so much scarcity around time. Coaching helped me tap into my own intuition and creativity in ways I didn't even know were possible.”

Kristy Black, Brand Designer & Goal Coach

What does a 1:1 coaching series look like?

Each 60 minute zoom call we’ll begin by chatting to see what is coming up for you (i.e. “I’m having trouble focusing”) and then we’ll explore that deeper in a closed eye practice. I will walk with you (figuratively) as we observe what feelings and sensations emerge and allow for a new understanding to come through. At the completion of every session, we’ll chat about the experience and new awarenesses that were made and I will ask you what you’re continuing to walk with which may include actionable items, but may also be something to let marinate. I will hold you lovingly accountable and also will be encouraging the crap outta you the entire way and celebrating ALL of your wins big & small. I will support you in reframing how you speak to yourself and help you to see yourself in a more positive light.

This is for you if:

  • You’re tired of overthinking, overanalyzing, overscheduling, and overworking.

  • You’ve tried yoga and meditation but your mind can’t stop / won’t stop with the chatter

  • You want to be present and enjoy your life rather than obsessing over Tuesday’s presentation

  • You want to wake up actually feeling rested and refreshed instead of drained and panicked

  • You’d like to stop obsessing over details so you can enjoy life again

  • You’re burnt out and know there has to be a better way of doing things

This is NOT for you if:

  • You’re someone who loves the hustle and wouldn’t want it any other way.

  • You’re looking for a quick fix and silver bullet to your problems.

  • You’re for me to give you the answers.

  • You’re looking for a therapist. This isn’t that.

  • You feel really good where you’re at and don’t see the need to change anything.

Okay, but who am I?

Hi, I’m Cayla, I am an Energy and Brand Coach with 12 years of in-house art direction and designer experience in NYC so I am well aware of (and exhausted from) the hustle. In 2017 I felt the nudge to document my mindfulness and self care journey on Instagram in the hopes that the tips and tricks that were supportive to me may help another overworked creative. These Mindfulness Minutes led me to pursuing a Life Coaching Training which then guided me to Energy Coaching. The effects that Energy Coaching has had on me as a client has been life changing-ly profound to say the least and it’s my goal that it can offer you relief from your incredible problem solving mind.

  • “One of the problems I face is my natural inclination to "do it all." Through the coaching series I managed to do less of that. I am more intentional about what receives my focus.”

    Joe K., Thumblab, Founder

  • "It really helped having Cayla to bounce off ideas and thinking and have it reflected back at me with her own filter and expertise. I feel much more equipped to move forward on my goals while assured that I could take care of myself through the methods we developed together."

Tiff K., Head of Product and Cofounder, RebelBase

  • “Cayla is a great human, and her energy is magical. My friends and partner notice how I'm much more focused and excited and eager to shift things that aren't working for me. I'm definitely clearer about what I want and need, and I'm no longer apologetic about it.”

Do I need to quit my job?

Nope. Sometimes we just need support divesting from the hold that our job has onto us because capitalism has told us that our worth is entangled in our productivity (spoiler: it isn’t!)

I am a freelancer, is this coaching series a good fit for me?

I think this coaching series is a good fit for anyone who identifies as an over thinker who is currently feeling the discontent of hustle culture and frustration of commodifying their creativity or proficiency. This coaching series is for anyone who is looking to live a fuller, richer life now.

Why should I choose one on one coaching?

Because you’re looking for something else. You’ve read some self help, you’ve tried meditation and you’re looking for more support. You’re tired of trying to do it all yourself and want a new perspective. You want to feel calm and confident as you move through your day to day rather than frazzled and frustrated.

FAQs

What is Energy Coaching?

Energy Coaching is where we settle into a relaxed brainspace and use visualizations to explore mindset blocks. It’s kind of like a choose-your-own-adventure guided meditation–I liken it to giving your mind a coloring book where we get to explore the pages instead of analyzing every outline. We feel into where a particular thought lives in your body and allow the energy to move and shift. Clients often feel calm, relaxed, settled, grounded, and clear after Energy Coaching sessions. Their mind is quiet and they have focus and motivation to move forward.

How is Energy Coaching different from Life Coaching?

Energy Coaching allows us to go a little bit deeper and observe the feelings or emotions that may be stopping you from moving in the direction you want to go. We go beneath the stories that are playing on repeat in your mind and create a somatic experience to shift the narrative. Life Coaching often takes a more action-oriented approach where we set a goal and plan out actionable steps for each session. While this is not the primary focus of our sessions, I am trained as both an Energy and Life Coach so you get the best of both worlds!

  • “Cayla was there with me every step of the way with plenty of ideas, encouragement, and a whole heap of celebratory emojis and all caps messages. If you want someone who will be your pal, confidant, and your biggest cheerleader, Cayla is the coach for you!”

    Isabella Armour, Business Coach

  • “Working with Cayla for the first quarter of the year was an amazing choice for business and personal life. During one of the most hectic periods I've ever had in my business, Cayla helped me stay grounded, feel confident, and focused. Knowing I had Cayla in my corner as a supporter and sounding board made moving through big changes and challenging times more easeful. She helped me celebrate the everyday wins, implement a daily routine, and prioritize things that would move the needle in my business.”

Karya Schanilec, Photographer & Content Creator

  • “Before starting I was still slightly hesitant because I couldn't see how such abstract goals could be achieve. But after that first session, with tangible goals in hand, it all made sense and I felt the impulse to get it done.”

Gabriela Benezar, A., Communications and Media Consultant

What skills and experience do I bring to the table?

(this is where I tell you about my “credentials” but I believe trust is earned so these are by no means a substitute for that.)

  • I have also completed my Energy Coaching Certification with the Devoted Energy Coaching School. This is a skillset that can support you to move through mindset challenges and limiting beliefs in a way that is incredibly powerful and imaginative.

  • I am a graduate of the Beautiful You Coaching Academy. This helps me to support you through asking meaningful questions to prompt inquiry within. You have the answers and these questions help to bring them out.

  • I have over 12 years of Design & Art Direction experience in New York City which means I have <a lot> of self care tips and tricks that supported me while I was in my 9-5. I also LOVE brainstorming and getting isht done in tangible, actionable ways. If you’ve got an inkling for something you want to do I’d love to be your sounding board.

  • I completed an AcroYoga Teaching Training and my 200hr Yoga Teacher Training and have been collaboratively teaching acroyoga since 2016. This means I have experience teaching to a wide-variety of skillsets to a wide variety of people and practice holding trauma-aware and consent-based spaces.

  • I have obsessively consumed self help books, articles, meditations etc. since 2012 and would love to share any tips that may be supportive to you on your journey.

Here’s a few things you will NOT receive during our series together:

  • I am not here for quick fixes. While I do believe there can be quick wins and mindset shifts, I believe change takes time and effort from both client and coach. I’m here to offer support to you so you can sustainably build a life that feels good and sustainable for you, not an overnight silver bullet.

  • I’m not a therapist. While I am an active participant in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and recognize that there is overlap between techniques used in CBT and coaching, I am not a licensed therapist and am not equipped to support you if you are moving through trauma and highly recommend seeking out therapy if this is an area of support you’re interested in. If you are experiencing anxiety or depression please reach out to find the right therapist for you: Therapy Den, Zencare, TalkSpace.

There is only one of you in the world,
and it’s time to remember how awesome you truly are.
